Absen to be Exclusive Supplier for Display Screens at 2013 Southeast Asian Games

The 27^th Southeast Asian Games are scheduled to be held from 11^th December 2013 in Myanmar’s new capital, Naypyidaw. 11 Southeast Asian countries, including Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines and East Timor, will participate in the games. With a large number of participating athletes and events, the Southeast Asian Games plays a vital role in promoting regional sports development. As the exclusive supplier for display screens to be used in the Southeast Asian Games, Absen will provide 19 LED display screens that cover 1,366 m² display area.

The 27^th Southeast Asian Games LED Display Screen project will be completed in three phases. Absen’s 169m² A1688 Full-Color High-Definition LED display screen, with 16mm pixel pitch that has “high brightness” and is “energy efficient”, was officially installed at the Myanmar National Stadium in Naypyidaw in November 2012. The event organizers were extremely pleased with the display effect. It was a perfect execution of the project’s 1st phase.

In the project’s 2nd phase, 16 LED displays screens will be installed in the natatorium, tennis & badminton hall and multifunctional hall. Absen will install two 37.75 m² A1688 LED displays screens on the external wall and two 55.3 m² AI10 LED Full-Color display screens with 10 mm pixel pitch on the internal wall of the natatorium. Absen will install 8 display screens in the tennis & badminton hall and 4 display screens in the multifunctional hall, by creating screen mosaics using AI10 and P5 products. Absen’s engineers are presently installing the 16 LED display screens, and the project’s 2nd phase is expected to be completed by the end of January 2013.
